‘Gold Filigree’ is the warm new single from Canadian artist Yves Jarvis. It’s a track that oozes coolness; a laid-back beat quietly persists beneath jazzy keyboard chords and the gentle chop of an electric guitar - all performed by Jarvis himself. His voice is melodic and passionate, without ever becoming overbearing. He explains: “Instead of making a world, I thought ‘I’m a band’. The goal became to articulate songs as purely and as simply as possible. It's not about trying to tell my story, fit in, or achieve any goal. it’s about trying to express something I’ve learned, some information I’ve received.” He’ll be dropping a new album in early 2025 via In Real Life. -Dan Peeke
